School Breaks (ages 5-13)
School age children will have plenty to do during the summer and school breaks. Each week is jam packed with swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor games, reading and field trips to the zoo, museum and the movies! This Kids Can summer program is offered (7 a.m.- 6 p.m.) when OPS is closed on a predetermined basis (i.e. parent teacher conferences, spring break). The fee for this program is $125 for a full week or $25 per day (includes all field trips, meals and snacks).
Children are provided with many opportunities to develop positive relationships, leadership skills and increased self-esteem. Our curriculum includes educational workshops and recreational activities (addressing issues of conflict resolution, drug awareness and safety).
Bad Weather Closing
We follow the OPS schedule for emergency closings (i.e. snow or heat days). For example, if OPS announces that schools will be closed because of snow, Kids Can programs will be closed as well. However, we do offer half day and full day programs for pre-determined OPS closings (parent teacher conferences, in-service days, spring and winter breaks, etc.)
